The Oilers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Richton (Richton, MS). The Rebels enter the Class 2A Region 8 contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Richton notched a victory over Mize (Mize, MS), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Golden Tornadoes meet the Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 24. Laurel will attempt to move on its 0-13 season record. The Tomcats enter the contest with a 2-13 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS).
