In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Piedmont Academy Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Jasper County Hurricanes.

The Cougars (11-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Tattnall Square Academy (Macon, GA). The Trojans come into the GIAA 6AAA challenge with a 2-13 record. In their last challenge, Tattnall Square Academy was beaten by First Presbyterian Day (Macon, GA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hurricanes meet the Central Hawks (Talbotton, GA) in a 1A Area 2 challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Jasper County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Central (Macon, GA).
