Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) and the visiting Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), observed Western Albemarle's volleyball team top Albemarle by a tally of 2-0.

The Warriors (6-1) will now prepare for their test against Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 5-5 record. In their last test, Louisa County achieved victory over Goochland (Goochland, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fluvanna County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 30. Albemarle will meet a Flying Flucos team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Flying Flucos record now stands at 8-2.
