In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Watauga Pioneers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Stephens Indians.

The Pioneers (14-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last test, Freedom went down by McDowell (Marion, NC), 2-1, in a league test.

The Indians now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alexander Central for a test on Thursday, September 25. St. Stephens will face a Cougars squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-10.
