In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Mattawan Wildcats soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Lakeview Spartans.
The Wildcats (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Lancers go into the Southwestern Michigan - West outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Lakeshore got by Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI), 4-0, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Gull Lake Blue Devils (Richland, MI) in a Southwestern Michigan - East bout, on Thursday, September 25. Lakeview will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI).
