The Mooresville Blue Devils held off the host Statesville Greyhounds soccer team by a tally of 1-0 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Blue Devils now hold a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to South Iredell for a North Piedmont 6A/7A bout on Thursday, September 25. Mooresville will play a Vikings squad coming off a 4-1 league win over North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-5.

The Greyhounds (4-4) will now prepare for their game against Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Wildcats enter the North Piedmont 6A/7A game with a 9-1 record. In their last game, Lake Norman held off Davie County (Mocksville, NC), 5-1, in a league game.
