California High School Volleyball - Merced overwhelmed by Atwater

September 23, 2025: Atwater, CA 95301

The Atwater Falcons volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Merced Bears to 0 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now possess a 12-3 record. They play next when they travel to El Capitan for a Central California Conference outing on Thursday, September 25. Atwater will play a Gauchos team coming off a 3-0 league win over Buhach Colony (Atwater, CA). The Gauchos record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Merced drops to 7-13 on the campaign. The Bears host Golden Valley (Merced, CA) to play the Cougars in a Central California Conference outing on Thursday, September 25. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 12-6. Golden Valley won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Los Banos (Los Banos, CA)
