With the win, Avalon improves its record to 17-7 on the season. The Eagles host Aquilla (Aquilla, TX) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 30. The Cougars go into the battle with a record of 6-15.

The Owls now own a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinidad for a non-league contest on Friday, September 26.
