Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Black River Rats (Holland, MI) and the host Saugatuck Trailblazers (Saugatuck, MI), observed Black River's volleyball team top Saugatuck by a count of 3-1.
The Rats (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Allegan (Allegan, MI). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Allegan was knocked off by South Haven (South Haven, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Trailblazers encounter the Watervliet Panthers (Watervliet, MI) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 25. Saugatuck will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Panthers go into the battle with a 5-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to Bridgman (Bridgman, MI).
