In Tuesday's league match, the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) volleyball team knocked off the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

The Comets now possess a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Southeast Raleigh for a Greater Neuse River 7A bout on Thursday, September 25. Clayton will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-13.
