Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Houghton Academy Panthers (Houghton, NY) and the host Genesee Valley Jaguars (Belmont, NY), observed Houghton Academy's volleyball team top Genesee Valley by a count of 3-0.

The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hinsdale Central (Hinsdale, NY). The Bobcats go into the Section 5 Allegany County battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Hinsdale Central was defeated by Bolivar-Richburg (Bolivar, NY), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Jaguars now have a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cuba-Rushford for a Section 5 Allegany County test on Thursday, September 25. Genesee Valley will face a Rebels squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Oswayo Valley (Shinglehouse, PA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-1.
