Illinois High School Volleyball - Sesser-Valier can't hold off Goreville

In Tuesday's league match, the Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) volleyball squad tipped the host Sesser-Valier Red Devils (Sesser, IL), by a score of 2-1.

With the win, Goreville improves its record to 11-5 on the season. The Blackcats travel to Meridian (Mounds, IL) to encounter the Bobcats in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 24. The Bobcats go into the battle with a record of 2-7. Meridian lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Webber (Bluford, IL)

The Red Devils now hold a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host Norris City-Omaha-Enfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 25. Sesser-Valier will battle a Fighting Cardinals team coming off a 2-0 league win over Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL). The Fighting Cardinals record now stands at 15-1.
