Mississippi High School Volleyball - Lafayette over New Hope

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), observed Lafayette's volleyball team top New Hope by a tally of 3-0.

The Commodores (12-18) will now prepare for their contest against Oxford (Oxford, MS). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 24-10 record. In their last test, Oxford was defeated by Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 9-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pontotoc for a Class 5A Region 1 test on Thursday, September 25. New Hope will face a Warriors squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Caledonia (Caledonia, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 13-13.
