In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Unity Christian Academy Soldiers.

The Bulldogs (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Salem (Tylertown, MS). The Wildcats come into the Class 1A Region 7 test with a 16-6 record. In their last test, Salem was edged by East Marion (Columbia, MS), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Soldiers now sport a 0-2 record.
