In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Russell County Lakers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Monroe County Falcons.

The Lakers (15-9) will now prepare for their test against Danville Christian Academy (Danville, KY). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Danville Christian Academy was edged by Boyle County (Danville, KY), 3-2, in a league test.

The Falcons now sport a 9-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton County for a District 16 outing on Thursday, September 25. Monroe County will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 league win over Metcalfe County (Edmonton, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 13-13.
