In Tuesday's league match, the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) volleyball team knocked off the visiting Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

The Spartans now possess a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Davidson Day for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 24. Sun Valley will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Grace Christian (Sanford, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 12-7.

The Warriors (12-3) will now prepare for their match against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Mavericks enter the Southern Carolina 6A/7A match with a 17-2 record. In their last match, Marvin Ridge notched a victory over Hough (Cornelius, NC), 3-0, in a non-league match.
