In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Washburn Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Wilton/Wing Miners.
The Cardinals (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] (Turtle Lake, ND). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] nudged Mandaree (Mandaree, ND), 3-0, in a non-league test.
The Miners now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center-Stanton for a non-league test on Thursday, September 25.
