The Goddard Rockets (Roswell, NM) soccer nudged the visiting Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM), 3-2 in Saturday's league bout.

With the win, Goddard moves its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Portales (Portales, NM) to battle the Rams in a 4A District 4 bout on Saturday, October 1. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-5.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM) in a 4A District 4 bout, on Saturday, October 1. Artesia will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record.
