Mississippi High School Softball - Simpson Academy bounces Bayou Academy

The Simpson Academy Cougars routed the visiting Bayou Academy Colts softball squad by a count of 16-6 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Cougars (16-11) will now prepare for their battle against East Rankin Academy (Pelahatchie, MS). The Patriots go into the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, East Rankin Academy Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS), 4-4, in a non-league battle.
The Colts now sport a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Starkville Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 24. Bayou Academy will meet a Volunteers squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Washington (Greenville, MS). The Volunteers record now stands at 9-8.
