The Cozad Haymakers softball team scored 14 runs and limited the host Kearney Catholic Stars to 6 in the Haymakers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Cozad improves its record to 13-12 on the year. The Haymakers travel to Centennial (Utica, NE) to clash with the Broncos in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 27. The Broncos come into the game with a record of 5-16. Centennial won 7-2 in their recent non-league game against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE)

In their next game, the Stars clash with the Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 27. Kearney Catholic will attempt to improve on its 10-14 season record. The Longhorns come into the game with a 5-13 record after their 9-3 non-league win over Bayard (Bayard, NE).
