Illinois High School Volleyball - Athens over Auburn

Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Lutheran Crusaders (Springfield, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, September 24. Athens will attempt to advance on its 12-8 season record. The Crusaders come into the match with a 18-0 record after their 2-0 league win over Nokomis (Nokomis, IL).

With the loss, Auburn drops to 8-12 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL) to clash with the Bluejays in a Sangamo match on Tuesday, September 27. The Bluejays come into the match with a record of 10-3. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central won 2-0 in their recent league match against Athens (Athens, IL)
