The Kearny Komets volleyball team (San Diego, CA), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Sweetwater Red Devils (National City, CA)

The Red Devils (7-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Calipatria (Calipatria, CA). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last challenge, Calipatria was edged by Hoover (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Komets encounter the High Tech CV Bruins (Chula Vista, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 24. Kearny will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Mission Bay (San Diego, CA).
