The St. Pius X Sartans smashed the host Belen Eagles soccer team by a tally of 7-1 in Tuesday's league game.
Next, the Sartans face the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) in a 4A District 5 game, on Thursday, September 26. St. Pius X will attempt to advance on its 4-6 season record.
The Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their game against Highland (Albuquerque, NM). The Hornets enter the 4A District 5 game with a 6-5 record. In their last game, Highland was overwhelmed by Capital (Santa Fe, NM), 1-0, in a non-league game.
