Durfee Hilltoppers (Fall River, MA) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting New Bedford Whalers (New Bedford, MA), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Durfee advances its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Somerset Berkley Regional (Somerset, MA) to clash with the Raiders in a South Coast test on Saturday, September 28. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 10-0. Somerset Berkley Regional won 3-1 in their recent league test against Old Rochester Regional (Mattapoisett, MA)

The Whalers now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Stang for a non-league test on Friday, September 27. New Bedford will clash with a Spartans team coming off a 6-0 league win over Arlington Catholic (Arlington, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 4-2.
