The McLoughlin Pioneers trounced the host Irrigon Knights soccer team by a final score of 8-0 in Tuesday's league match.
With the triumph, McLoughlin moves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to meet the Bulldogs in a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 match on Saturday, September 28. The Bulldogs come into the match with a record of 0-7. Nyssa 0-0 in their recent league match against Riverside (Boardman, OR)
The Knights now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Umatilla for a 3A/2A/1A-SD5 Special District 5 match on Thursday, September 26. Irrigon will meet a Vikings team coming off a 5-4 league win over Grant Union (John Day, OR). The Vikings record now stands at 3-4.
