In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the visiting James River Knights volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Radford Bobcats.

The Knights (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Patrick County was nudged by Alleghany (Covington, VA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 25. Radford will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Glenvar (Salem, VA).
