Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Traverse City Central Trojans (Traverse City, MI) and the host Alpena Wildcats (Alpena, MI), saw Traverse City Central's soccer squad knock off Alpena by a count of 3-1.

The Trojans (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Gaylord (Gaylord, MI). The Blue Devils enter the Big North battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, Gaylord tipped Cadillac (Cadillac, MI), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Wildcats battle the Petoskey Northmen (Petoskey, MI) in a Big North battle, on Thursday, September 26. Alpena will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Northmen enter the battle with a 4-9 record after their 8-1 non-league loss to Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI).
