The Wyoming Valley West Spartans soccer squad scored 4 points and held the host Hazleton Area Cougars to 0 in the Spartans league victory on Tuesday.
The Spartans now hold a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Dallas for a Wyoming Valley 1 bout on Thursday, September 26. Wyoming Valley West will play a Mountaineers squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Hazleton Area moves to 1-5 on the year. The Cougars travel to Central Mountain (Mill Hall, PA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, October 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 5-6.
