In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Benjamin Russell Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Calera Eagles.

The Wildcats (1-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Chilton County (Clanton, AL). The Tigers come into the 6A Area 5 challenge with a 4-10 record. In their last challenge, Chilton County edged Billingsley (Billingsley, AL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Pelham Panthers (Pelham, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 25. Calera will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 23-6 record after their 3-2 league win over Chelsea (Chelsea, AL).
