In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Blazer Tomcats volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Russell Red Devils.

The Tomcats (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Rowan County was beaten by Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Devils meet the Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) in a District 63 challenge, on Monday, September 30. Russell will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Musketeers enter the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY).
