In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Manchester Valley Mavericks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Century Knights.
The Mavericks (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD). The Eagles come into the MVAL - Chesapeake challenge with a 0-5 record. In their last challenge, Francis Scott Key was beaten by Westminster (Westminster, MD), 3-0, in a league challenge.
Next, the Knights meet the Westminster Owls (Westminster, MD) in a MVAL - Chesapeake challenge, on Thursday, September 26. Century will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Francis Scott Key (Union Bridge, MD).
