Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Gatesville Hornets (Gatesville, TX) and the visiting Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX), observed Gatesville's volleyball team top Jarrell by a count of 3-1.

The Hornets (19-9) will now prepare for their contest against Connally (Waco, TX). The Cadets enter the 4A Region III District 23 contest with a 10-15 record. In their last contest, Connally was knocked off by Bosqueville (Waco, TX), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Cougars battle the Burnet Bulldogs (Burnet, TX) in a 4A Region III District 24 contest, on Friday, September 27. Jarrell will attempt to move on its 17-12 season record.
