Florida High School Volleyball - Palmetto over Lakewood Ranch

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Palmetto Tigers (Palmetto, FL) and the visiting Lakewood Ranch Mustangs (Bradenton, FL), observed Palmetto's volleyball team top Lakewood Ranch by a count of 3-1.

The Tigers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against DeSoto County (Arcadia, FL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, DeSoto County notched a victory over Lake Placid (Lake Placid, FL), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Mustangs meet the Parrish Community Bulls (Parrish, FL) in a 6A District 11 contest, on Thursday, September 26. Lakewood Ranch will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Bulls enter the contest with a 10-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Sarasota (Sarasota, FL).
