In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host St. Joseph Catholic Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Somerville Yeguas.

The Eagles (4-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Dime Box (Dime Box, TX). The Longhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 7-11 record.

Next, the Yeguas meet the Hearne Eagles (Hearne, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 25 challenge, on Friday, September 27. Somerville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Still Creek Christian (Bryan, TX).
