Albany Cougars (Albany, CA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars (15-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Head-Royce (Oakland, CA). The Jayhawks enter the challenge with a 0-3 record.

Next, the Spartans meet the Saint Mary's Panthers (Albany, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, October 1. Pinole Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
