With the triumph, Polk County moves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to meet the Vikings in a Western Highlands 2A/3A match on Wednesday, October 1. The Vikings come into the match with a record of 1-11.

The Patriots now own a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Owen for a Western Highlands 2A/3A battle on Monday, September 29. Madison will battle a Warhorses squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 6-3.
