Georgia High School Softball - Locust Grove gets by Westlake

September 24, 2025: Locust Grove, GA 30248

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Locust Grove Wildcats (Locust Grove, GA) and the visiting Westlake Lions (Atlanta, GA), observed Locust Grove's softball team get by Westlake by a tally of 13-12.

The Wildcats (11-7) will now prepare for their bout against Hampton (Hampton, GA). The Hornets go into the 4A Region 2 bout with a 4-12 record. In their last bout, Hampton tipped Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA), 29-28, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 27. Westlake will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 6-15 record after their 16-1 league loss to Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA).
