In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sumter County Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Chattahoochee County Panthers.

The Panthers (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave come into the 2A Area 1 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Spencer was nudged by Shaw (Columbus, GA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Panthers face the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) in a 1A Area 1 game, on Thursday, September 25. Chattahoochee County will attempt to advance on its 7-8 season record. The Cougars go into the game with a 1-14 record after their 2-0 league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA).
