Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) and the visiting Excel Christian Warriors (Sparks, NV), observed Pyramid Lake's volleyball team top Excel Christian by a count of 3-0.

The Lakers (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against McDermitt (McDermitt, NV). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, McDermitt was knocked off by Eureka (Eureka, NV), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Coleville Wolves (Coleville, CA) in a 1A Western battle, on Tuesday, October 7. Excel Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record.
