Indiana High School Volleyball - Wheeler over Hobart

Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Hobart Brickies (Hobart, IN), observed Wheeler's volleyball team top Hobart by a count of 3-1.

The Bearcats (16-8) will now prepare for their battle against Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN). The Warriors go into the Greater South Shore battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, Calumet New Tech dropped by Hammond Central (Hammond, IN), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The Brickies now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Andrean for a Northwest Crossroads battle on Thursday, September 25. Hobart will meet a Fighting 59ers team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Fighting 59ers record now stands at 10-14.
