Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Yuma Indians (Yuma, CO), 21-12 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 4-18 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Valley/Alma for a C District 9 challenge on Tuesday, September 28. Chase County will battle a squad coming off a 6-0 league win over Minden (Minden, NE). The record now stands at 6-17.

With the loss, Yuma falls to 1-15 on the campaign. The Indians host Limon (Limon, CO) to battle the Badgers in a 3A Lower Platte challenge on Saturday, October 2. The Badgers enter the challenge with a record of 13-6. Limon won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Holyoke (Holyoke, CO)
