In Monday's league battle, the host East Duplin Panthers soccer squad scored a close 8-3 win over the South Lenoir Blue Devils.
The Panthers (6-6) will now prepare for their battle against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs go into the East Central 2A battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Wallace-Rose Hill nipped Kinston (Kinston, NC), 14-0, in a league battle.
The Blue Devils (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC). The Hawks go into the East Central 2A battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, North Lenoir was overwhelmed by James Kenan (Warsaw, NC), 10-1, in a league battle.
