Next, the Cougars confront the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Wednesday, September 27. Mountain Heritage will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 3-0 league loss to NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC).

The Patriots now possess a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Owen for a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, September 27. Madison will confront a Warhorses team coming off a 5-0 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 8-1.
