Christian Heritage Lions (Dalton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bowdon for a 1A D-II Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, September 26. Christian Heritage will face a Red Devils squad coming off a 18-0 non-league win over Landmark Christian (Fairburn, GA). The Red Devils record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Gordon Central falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Warriors host Rockmart (Rockmart, GA) to face the Yellowjackets in a 2A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, September 26. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 19-1. Rockmart won 8-0 in their recent league challenge against Haralson County (Tallapoosa, GA)
