The Irvine Vaqueros flag football squad scored 13 points and limited the host Portola Bulldogs to 6 in the Vaqueros league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vaqueros now sport a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwood for a Pacific Coast test on Monday, September 30. Irvine will meet a Timberwolves squad coming off a 27-0 league win over Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA). The Timberwolves record now stands at 8-5.

With the defeat, Portola drops to 2-12 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Woodbridge (Irvine, CA) to meet the Warriors in a Pacific Coast test on Monday, September 30. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 13-5. Woodbridge won 19-6 in their recent league test against Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA)
