Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Beekmantown Eagles (Plattsburgh, NY) and the host Saranac Spartans (Saranac, NY), saw Beekmantown's soccer squad triumph over Saranac by a count of 5-0.

The Eagles (7-0) will now prepare for their battle against Peru (Peru, NY). The Nighthawks enter the Northern battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Peru tipped AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY), 4-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) in a Northern battle, on Friday, September 27. Saranac will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 4-1 league loss to Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY).
