Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) and the host Oak Grove Grizzlies (Winston-Salem, NC), saw Asheboro's soccer squad knock off Oak Grove by a count of 2-0.

The Blue Comets (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Central Davidson by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 3-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Grizzlies battle the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a battle, on Monday, September 30. Oak Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Black Knights enter the battle with a 0-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC).
