Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) and the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), saw Polk County's soccer squad triumph over Chase by a count of 7-0.

The Wolverines (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Cavaliers enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, East Rutherford was overwhelmed by Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Trojans confront the Mountain Heritage Cougars (Burnsville, NC) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 7. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
