North Carolina High School Soccer - Albemarle knocks off North Stanly

September 25, 2024: New London, NC 28127

The Albemarle Bulldogs soccer squad scored 10 points and held the host North Stanly Comets to 1 in the Bulldogs league victory on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they host Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A bout on Monday, September 30. Albemarle will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, North Stanly moves to 2-11 on the year. The Comets travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 1. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 3-8.
