Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Burlington Red Devils (Burlington, MA) and the visiting Stoneham Spartans (Stoneham, MA), saw Burlington's soccer squad hold off Stoneham by a count of 2-1.

The Red Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Belmont (Belmont, MA). The Marauders enter the Middlesex battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Belmont tipped Winchester (Winchester, MA), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Spartans battle the Arlington Spy Ponders (Arlington, MA) in a Middlesex battle, on Friday, September 27. Stoneham will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Spy Ponders enter the battle with a 4-2 record after their 2-0 league win over Belmont (Belmont, MA).
